Nasschemische Oberflächenveredelung für die  Medizinaltechnik

Es werden kurz die Anwendungsgebiete von Oberflächenveredlungen in der Medizinaltechnik vorgestellt. Im Speziellen werden antimikrobielle Polymere bzw. Beschichtungen behandelt.  

 

Dr. Toni Schneider

Toni Schneider hat im Jahr 2000 an der Georg August Universität in Göttingen in organischer Chemie diplomiert. In 2005 hat er über Gerichtete Evolution am Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung promoviert. Toni Schneider ist seit 2005 an der ZHAW angestellt. Er ist wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter des Labors für Polymere Beschichtungen. Seine Kerngebiete sind Haftvermittlung und funktionale Beschichtungen.

Antibacterial Implant Surfaces

Implant-associated infections can lead to severe complications. The rising number of periprosthetic infections has led to the development of various bactericidal implant surfaces. Different approaches and novel treatment strategies are presented.

 

Prof. Dr. Michael de Wild

Michael de Wild is a physicist and gained industrial experience at the R&D department of Endress+Hauser before he entered Swiss MedTech and worked as a research scientist at Straumann AG developing and commercializing new surfaces for dental implants. Since 2007 he is a professor at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW). His main research activities include surface and materials sciences for implant development. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Swiss Society for Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine.
